ROTARY CHICKEN BARBECUE AND FALL FESTIVAL 2011

Once again this year, the Party Tent
will fill the parking lot behind E.G.
Nick's on Forest Street, sponsored this
year byWRIFradio.
Attracting a larger crowd each year
with live entertainment from 7-mid-
night both Friday and Saturday, the
Party Tent has become a traditionwith
the restaurant which sells beer and
wine during the tent hours.
“We've been doing it every year,”
said E.G. Nick's co-owner Frank
Agostini. “It's just always fun and
everybody has a good time.
“I don't think we've ever had any
kind of incident and the atmosphere is
always one of people just enjoying the
music and having a great time. We (he
and partner (Tony Belli) said we'd
keep doing it as long as people had
fun, and they are certainly still having
a good time,” he added.
This year, WRIF will broadcast live
from the tent on Friday, Agostini said,
and the band that evening will be the
WRIFParty Band–a well-kept secret.
On Saturday, the Derby Brothers
Bandwill entertain the expected
crowds.
“People love the festival and they've
come to expect that when they want to
have a good time and relax, this is
where the fun canbe found,” he said.
Agostini noted that he always tries
to be considerate of the residents who
live within earshot of the Party Tent,
even though it is in a business area.
“We make sure the sound doesn't
blast in that direction. We keep it very
controlled and we end at 11 p.m.,” he
said. “In all the years we've had the
tent, we haven't had a complaint.
“We try to be good neighbors and so
do they,” he said.
Sam Walton of Signature Sound
helped organize the event and the
entertainers this year both in the Party
Tent and on the Main Stage in Kellogg
Park.
“There will be something for every-
body,”Walton said. “It would be almost
impossible not to have a great time at
the festival this year.”
The Party Tent can be accessed
through E.G. Nick's on Forest Street or
from Harvey Street which is adjacent
to the lot in the rear of the restaurant.
