Anyone looking for the fun at the Fall
Festival need look no further than the
parking lot behind E.G. Nicks restau-
rant.
“We like to think the fun never stops
here,” said co-owner Frank Agostini,
“but we really do have a great time dur-
ing the Fall Festival each year.” Agostini
and partner Tony Belli have a huge tent
installed in the Harvey Street parking
lot, behind the restaurant and book
bands for both Friday and Saturday
nights, after the festival itself has begun
towinddown.
“This is sort of a festival for those over
21,” Agostini said. “We serve beer andwe
always try to get really good bands.
Everybody always has a great time.”
The Party Lot, as the event has been
dubbed, is open from7:30 p.m. until mid-
night both Friday and Saturday nights.
This year the Saints of Soul will enter-
tain on Friday and the Duney Brothers
Band will bring their unique sound to
the tent onSaturday night.
“We've had these bands before,”
Agostini said, “at some other events and
people really enjoy them. They put on a
great show.”
Belli and Agostini said that in all the
years they have been putting up the tent,
which is a huge endeavor, and hiring
staff and entertainment, they have
always enjoyed the experience almost as
much as the crowd. “We've always drawn
a big crowd, no matter what the weather,
because the bands are really good and
people enjoy the atmosphere and the
music. They come here to have a good
time, relax, have a beer and listen to the
bands,”Agostini said.
“The Fall Festival weekend crowd is
great. Some of them don't even go to the
midway, they just know that we have
good music and there is always a lot
going on. This is a fun place to be,” he
said.
There is a $3 cover charge and Party
Lot visitors must be 21 or older to buy
alcohol.
“Everybody's invited,”Agostini said.
