AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF THE CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF PLYMOUTH BY
AMENDING THE ZONING MAP.
THE CHARTER TOWNSHIP OF PLYMOUTH ORDAINS:
Part I. The Charter Township of Plymouth Zoning Ordinance No. 99 is hereby amended by amending the Zoning Map in
accordance with the changes indicated on Amended Zoning Map No. 023, attached hereto and made part of this
Ordinance.
ZONING CHANGE
FROM: R-1-H, Single Family Residential
TO: R-1-S, Single Family Residential
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: For parcel/lot descriptions, see tax records based on Tax ID No. R-78-037-99-0001-000.
Part II.
CONFLICTING REVISIONS REPEALED. Any Ordinance or parts of Ordinance in conflict herewith, are hereby
repealed.
Part III.
EFFECTIVE DATE. The provisions of the Ordinance are hereby declared to take effect on January 12, 2018.
Part IV.
ADOPTION. This Ordinance was adopted by the Charter Township of Plymouth Board of Trustees by authority of
Act 110 of Public Acts of Michigan, 2006, as amended, at a meeting duly called and held on December 12, 2017 and
ordered to be given publication in the manner prescribed by law. The Ordinance may be inspected at the Plymouth
Township Hall, Community Development Department, during regular business hours.

Notice is hereby given that the first of two (2) public hearings concerning the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
Program will be held by the Charter Township of Plymouth at
7:00 PM
in the Town Hall Meeting Room of Plymouth Township
Hall located at 9955 N. Haggerty Road on Tuesday, January 9, 2018.
The purpose of the public hearing will be to afford the public the opportunity to place before the board any proposed use of the
2018 CDBG funds.
Preliminary indications from the Wayne County Community Development Block Grant program are that the estimated 2018
funding allocation for the Township will be approximately $91,072. Wayne County requires that our request for public service
projects not exceed 15 % of the total allocation. Based on that special requirement the projects are proposed as follows:

A Westland woman lost her life in a
traffic accident last Thursdaymorning.
Westland police responded to the
report of a traffic accident onWayneRoad
north of FordRoad at about 9:15 a.m. Dec.
21.
When officers arrived at the scene they
found one of the passengers in the crash
of a car into a FedEx delivery truck, unre-
sponsive. The officers began to administer
CPR until paramedics from the Westland
Fire Department arrived and began life-
savingmeasures. Despite the efforts of the
first-responders, the 56-year-old Westland
woman was pronounced dead on arrival
at a local hospital.
The driver of the vehicle, a 62-year-old
man from Detroit, was transported by
ambulance to a local hospital where he
was reported in serious condition. A sec-
ondpassenger in the vehicle, a 51-year-old
woman fromWestland, was also transport-
ed to a local hospital where she is report-
ed in stable condition.
The driver of the FedEx delivery truck,
another 51-year-old woman from
Westland, suffered only minor injuries in
the incident, according to police reports.
Police said that drugs and alcohol are
not believed to be a factor in the accident.
The Westland Police Traffic Bureau is
continuing to investigate the incident.
A case of Hepatitis A has been confirmed
and traced to a Westland location by health
experts.
An employee at the Token Lounge on Joy
Road in Westland has been diagnosed with
Hepatitis A according to the Wayne County
Department of Health, Veterans and
CommunityWellness.
The facility was inspected by health
department personnel following the con-
firmed diagnosis and vaccinations against
the disease offered to employees of the
establishment.
Health department officials have cau-
tioned anyone who consumed beverages
from the TokenLounge betweenNov. 20 and
Dec. 4 to watch for symptoms of Hepatitis A.
The symptoms usually occur between 15
and 50 days following exposure to the virus.
Symptoms include: abdominal pain, nau-
sea, vomiting, diarrhea, dark urine, clay-col-
ored stool, fever, chills, yellow skin and eyes
with a jaundiced opinion.
Thosewith symptoms should get immedi-
ate medical help and notify the county
healthdepartment.
The American LegionWestland Post 251
is in need of an office or building to house
the operations of the group.
According to Post Commander William
Acton, the group is seeking a home or build-
ing that has been sitting vacant for “months
or years” that the group could occupy in
exchange formaintaining the structure.
He added that the post would pay the
utilities and the group be willing to vacate
the building should the owner find some-
one topay rent or buy the property.
Westland Post 251 of the American
Legion is a non-profit military organization
and coveredunder a 501-3C tax code.

Winners of multiple honors were recently announced by the Wayne Chamber of
Commerce during the annual Holiday Luncheon. Jim Demmer, above left,
accepted the award as the Best of Wayne in the Corporate Business category for
Jack Demmer Ford from Chamber of Commerce President Don Nicholson; cho-
sen as Retail Business of the Year was Northside Hardware; the award for Non-
Profit Business of the Year went to Community Living Services and was accepted
by Tiffany Devon, below right. Volunteer of the Year was Maria Trinidad, of Lobo
Tire, below left. Winners who were chosen by a vote of the chamber membership
based on a criteria including community involvement and commitment to the
Wayne community, Nicholson said. “We are happy to have them as members in
good standing with the Wayne Chamber of Commerce.”
