Realtors grant to fund renovation of Wayne Derby’s Alley
Wayne Main Street was
recently awarded a grant from
the Greater Metropolitan Area
Realtors Association (GMAR) for
capital improvements in an
underutilized alleyway in down-
townWayne - Derby's Alley.
The funding for the project
comes from a Placemaking

ning for the space. Funding pro-
vided by GMAR will allowWayne
MainStreet tomove forwardwith
the implementation of the re-
development plan for the space
including overhead festooned
lighting andpermanent seating.
“Our goal is to create a friend-
ly, welcoming space that all
Wayne residents and visitors to
our downtown can enjoy,” said
Juan Bradford, Wayne Main
Street boardpresident.
Those sentiments were
echoed by Pat Rice, a fellow
board member of Wayne Main
Street and Realtor with Re/Max
Classic - Canton.
“It's so great to see the real
estate community stepping up to
support worthy projects like
Derby's Alley,”Rice said.
