Experience the eccentricities of
Southern life as the Spotlight Still Got It

War at The Village Theater at Cherry Hill
Sept. 2-6. Main stage performances will
begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday;
at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday and at 2
p.m. Saturday andSunday.
Written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas
Hope, and Jamie Wooten, this Southern-
fried comedy explores what hijinks can
arise while planning a family reunion.
The outrageous antics of three Verdeen
cousins (Gaynelle, Peaches and Jimmie
Wyvette) have delighted local gossips in
the small town of Sweetgum, Texas.
Having "accidentally" crashed her mini-
van through the bedroomwall of her hus-
band's girlfriend's doublewide, Gaynelle
is one frazzlednerve away froma spectac-
ular meltdown. Peaches, a saucy fire-
brand and a number one mortuarial cos-
metologist in the tri-county area, is strug-
gling to decide if it's time to have her long-
absent trucker husband declared dead.
Things spin hilariously out of control
when a neighbor's pet devours everything
edible, a one-eyed suitor shows up to
declare his love, and a jaw-dropping high-
stakes wager is made on who bakes the
best red velvet cake.
Directed by Justine Maldonado,
Spotlight Still Got It Players senior group

Windham / Mama Doll Hargis; Marian
Busa as Gaynelle Verdeen Bodeen; Betty
