Digging in
Kathy Browne of Green USA, a
charitable, religious, education
and humane scientific non-profit
organization dedicated to pro-
tecting natural resources since
1635, is digging deep in her
efforts to help beautify down-
town Plymouth. She has adopt-
ed three planters through the
Downtown
Development
Authority since 2006 and just
last week finished planting
some annuals in a Forest Street
planter in front of Opn Dohr.
This planter is the twin of anoth-
er Browne planted in front of the
Afton Tea Room, on the other
side of the driveway between
the businesses. “We chose col-
orful perennials which often
spread, allowing them to be
divided later. We try to teach
families how to ‘green up’ their
homes with more perennials
and a few annuals to add color
without as much repeated
cost,” she said.

“There are so many great things
happening in Northville Public
Schools,” Koski said. “My role as
part of the Northville team will
first be to recognize all of the
incredible success taking place
across the district and specifically
at Northville High School. At the
same time, I will look for those
areas where I can help provide our
students with increased opportuni-
ties that ensure they achieve at
evenhigher levels.”
