Educational tours resume
Private educational tours for schools or
groups are nowavailable at Maybury Farm in
Northville.
The tours include interactive programs on
farm animals, honey, soils, nature, maple
syrup and others. The tours are planned to
instruct and entertain all ages from pre-
kindergarten through senior citizens.

Coffeewith aCop Tuesday
The Canton Police Department has sched-
uled a Coffee with a Cop session from 8-10
p.m. Tuesday, April 8 at Holiday Inn Express
onMichiganAvenue.
These sessions are open to the public and
provide a unique opportunity for community
members to ask questions and learn more
about the department's work inCanton neigh-
borhoods andbusiness districts.

Kids' club is Saturday
The Belleville Area Council for the Arts
will host another Saturday Morning Kids
Club for tri-community Alligator Artists from
noon until 2 p.m. this Saturday, April 5 at the
Bayou Grill, 404 Main St. in downtown
Belleville.
In anticipation of the arrival of “Hares on
the Square”, Easter will be the theme for the
“Make and Take” art projects with Betty
Kurczewski, Angelica Renaud and Becky
Hasen guiding the youngsters through cre-
ative activities. All materials are donated by
the arts council. TheBayouGrill will again be
offering a specially priced kids happy hour
menu for all participating “Alligator Artists”.

Hare applications available
The Belleville Area Council for the Arts
will again sponsor the Hares on The Square
display for 2014, formerly called Bunnies on
Main.
Applications and “Hare Cages” will be
available, upon payment of the $10 entry fee
through April 6 at Michigan PC Tech located
at 397MainSt., Suite 3 inBelleville.
Completed hares must be returned to
Belleville City Hall between Tuesday, April 8
and Friday, April 11. Hares will be on display
in Fourth Street Square beginning Monday,
April 14. Prizes will be awarded at the May 5
city councilmeeting.

Church serving Lentenmeal
First United Methodist Church of Wayne
will serve fish dinners from 4: 30 to 7 p.m.
EveryFriday throughApril 11.
The fish dinner includes baked or fried
fish, baked potato or french fries, vegetable,
cold slawand a roll. Children'smeals are also
available with nuggets or one piece of fish,
french fries, vegetable slaw and a roll. The
cost is $9 for adults and $4 for children's
meals. Homemade pies are also available for
$1 a slice.
The church is located at 3 Town Square,
Wayne across from theWayne Post office. The
church is handicap accessible.

Bible study offered
Countdown to Eternity, a 10-day Bible
study on end-time events began last night at
Sharon SDA Church, 28537 Cherry St. in
Inkster. Classes will continue from 7-8 p.m.
throughApril 11.
There will be a different topic discussed
each night and the study group is free and
open to the public.

Church serving Lenten dinners
St. Aloysius Catholic Church at 37200
Neville St. in Romulus will be the site of all-
you-can-eat fish fry dinner from 4:30 until 7
p.m. April 11.
Dinners include fried fish, macaroni and
cheese, seasoned potatoes or French fires,
green beans, cole slaw, dinner roll, dessert
and a beverage.
Adult dinners are $9 and children young
than 10 dinners are priced at $5. Dinners for
children 3 and younger are free with the pur-
chase of an adultmeal.
Carry outs are available.
Food for Fines accepted
The Romulus Public Library will accept
non-perishable food items in lieu of fines
throughApril 30.
The library will forgive $1 in fines for each
item donated. The program is sponsored by
Gleaners andTheLibraryNetwork.

Zumba and Yoga classes offered
The Romulus Recreation Department will
sponsor Zumba and Yoga classes for adults of
all ages at various times on Wednesday
evenings through May 21 at the Romulus
Senior Center.
The cost is $7 per class or pre pay for eight
classes and receive on class free.
The first session is from 5-6 p.m. with 30
minutes for eachprogram.
From 6:15 until 7:15 p.m. Zumba classes
are offered to high-energyLatinbeats.
From 7:30-8:30 p.m. Yoga instruction
including Ashtanga/Hatha Yoga/Yin will be
offered.
Yoga students need to bring a Yoga mat, a
towel and water bottle. Zumba students need
low tread athletic shoes, a water bottle and a
towel.

Center prior to class session. The center is

CouponClass set
Jolyn Felten of BargainstoBounty.com will
present a coupon class covering the basics of
strategic couponuse, including collecting and
organizing coupons, coupon anatomy, saving
without coupons and more from noon until
2:30 p.m. April 5 at the Romulus Public
Library.

Relay for Life serves pancakes
TeamAngels of the Relay for Life will host
the 3rd Annual Pancake Breakfast from 8-11
a.m. April 5 at Community United Methodist
Church, 11160OliveSt. in romulus.
A breakfast of pancakes, eggs, sausage,
breakfast potatoes and beverages will be
available for a donation to the Relay For Life
effort.
Raffle tickets and merchandise including
luminaria bags and footprints will be avail-
able for purchase.
Officials host coffee hour
Wayne County Commissioner Richard
LeBlanc will be co-hosting his usual coffee
hour with State Rep. David Knezek this April
in Inkster.
The event will take place from 12:30 - 1:30
p.m. at the Inkster Public Library onMonday,
April 7. Residents can attend and discuss
issues that are important to them.

Identity theft is topic
The LeannaHicks Public Librarywill host
representatives from Attorney General Bill
Schuette's Senior Brigade at 6 p.m. April 9.
The discussion topic will be Identity Theft
and is part of SmartMoneyWeek in the state.
At the event, the book Money Rules by
Jean Chatzky will be available to those who
attend.
Money Smart Week is sponsored by the
MichiganCredit UnionLeague.

State of Communitymeeting set
Reservations will be accepted through
April 9 for the annual State of the Community
program planned for noon until 1:30 p.m.

Networking will begin at 11:30 a.m. and
the luncheon and programwill begin at noon.

Taste Fest set at church
The Sharon SDA Church at 28537 Cherry
St. in Inkster will host a Taste Fest from 5:30
until 6:45 p.m. April 10.

Included in the evening will be healthy
foods to sample and healthy eating tips and
information.
Piggy banks provided
Laura Saches from the Public Service
Credit Union will visit the Romulus Public
Library for a special story time for those 6
and younger at 6:30 p.m. April 8 during
Money SmartWeek.
Free books and piggy banks will be distrib-
uted.
