Welcome to the Parade
Welcome to theNorthville 4th of July Parade.
It is hard to believe but this is the 14th year that the Northville Community Foundation has hosted the Independence Day Parade. From those
early days I don't think any of us thought this would grow towhat it is.
What do we work for…The smiles on everyone's faces! The excitement from the kids getting a bottle of water from the First Baptist Church or
goodies from the Tooth Fairy are all worth the year's worth of work.
We always truly enjoy the "blessed" competition between the churches for the best float. Wonder what theywill come upwith this year?
This parade is truly a look at thewonderful community inwhichwe live and is a true celebration of the freedoms our country enjoys.
This year, wewill really Let FreedomRing.
About the peoplewhomake it happen…
How do I even begin to thank the wonderful people who step up year after year to serve on the Parade Committee. There is not one unimpor-
tant position; each person heads a portion of the Parade and each of them works diligently to make it perfect. There are over 1,000 people in the
Parade and that takes a lot of coordination and work. Then we have the angels that just show up the morning of the Parade to help. Without all of
this wonderful cooperation this Parade would never happen. You are all so appreciated! And we look forward to seeing you next year. If you would
like to join the committee, please contact theNorthvilleCommunity Foundation at (248)374-0200.
