getting people involved. We really

Wirgau said that he feels it is
important that the club concentrate
on recruitment as the current 90
members, about 40 of whom are
active, are aging.
“This work needs to be passed on
to younger peoplewho canhelp facili-
tate the wonderful work this club
does. I think sometimes we are so
caught up in doing the right thing we
are not doing things right,” he said.

like to see the club grow by 40 new
members.
“I know that every group is facing
the problems of the economy.
Contributions have shrunk and volun-
teerism is also shrinking. We need to
get the word out about how great you
feel doing this work. There is no way
to explain the feeling of satisfaction
and accomplishment we feel at the
end of the day.
“This is a wonderful organization
to join and this is one of the best
investments of time and effort anyone
could evermake.”
