Pursuant to Michigan Public Act 110 of 2006, as amended (The Michigan Zoning
Enabling Act), notice is hereby given that the City of Romulus will hold a public hear' at
7:00 p.m. on Monday, November 21, 2011
for the purpose of considering a Special Land
Use proposal. The public hearing will be held at the Romulus City I-loll Council

The Planning Commission has set the public hearing to consider a request for a proposed

Genealogists meet at library
Holiday market opens tomorrow
Monday may have been Halloween, but
five local home designers have been busier
with evergreens, ribbons and ornaments
thanpumpkins and candy inNorthville.
While the trick or treaters came in cos-
tumes for candy, these intrepid workers
were wrestling unruly trees and trimming
curtain rods with greenery in preparation
for the 14th Annual Northville Community
FoundationHolidayHomeTour.
The tour will take place this year from 10
a.m. until 4 p.m. Nov. 18 and 19. Tickets are
$20 to visit the five privately-owned homes
which have been professionally decorated
for the holidays. This year the tour, spon-
sored again by Toll Brothers, includes a con-
temporary home filled with animal prints
and the owners' African safari photos which
is being decorated by designer Linda
Krause using supplies from Cornwell
ChristmasWorld inPlymouth
The owners of Razamatazz, also in
Plymouth, are decking out a home full of
unique surprises and magnificent architec-
tural lines. Many of the surprising furnish-
ings in the homewere actually purchased on
line by the owner.
Designer Jennifer Imamura has put her
stamp on a home reminiscent of the
Hamptons which sits on 5 acres of
Northville property. Imamurawas the interi-
or designer responsible for the home fur-
nishings, too.
A fish pond welcomes visitors to a home
near SevenMile Road decorated for the hol-
idays by Suzy Bone who always manages to
bring a few surprises to the annual holiday
tour.
The home used in the movie Scream IV
will be decorated for Christmas by Home for
the Holidays, using supplies from Cornwell
Christmas World. This year the designers
have opted for themes based on holiday
movies for inspiration, sure to provide some
smiles.

Chamber of Commerce, Razzamatazz in

England and Wales Research is the title
of the presentation by Jeffrey Mason
planned for 2:30 p.m. Nov. 13 at the
NorthvilleDistrict Library.
Before the speaker, there will be a round-
table discussion beginning at 1:15 p.m.

sharing information on the internet.
Both meetings are free of charge. The

Holiday shopping will officially begin in
Northville tomorrow night when the 7th
Annual Holiday Art Market begins with a
reception from 6-9 p.m. during the First
Friday Art Walk, sponsored by Ameriprise
Financial.
Hand-crafted work in painting, printmak-
ing, glass, mosaic, fiber, photography, jewelry
and mixed media will be for sale by well-
known local artists, including Kim Bearden,
George Bochnig, Barb Buchanan, Alan

Northville Library and the Northville Art
House.
On Dec. 2, the Art House will participate
in the Candlelight Walk throughout down-
town.
The winners of several raffle baskets of
merchandise and coupons from local busi-
nesses currently on display will be
announced. Tickets may be purchased up
until 8 p.m.
