Once again this year, the corn
maze at Maybury Farm will offer
some unique challenges to even the
most intrepid guests.
This year the maze offers one of
the most challenging pathways
ever, according to Northville
Community Foundation President
Shari Peters.
“Watch out for the dead ends,”
she cautioned. The maze, spon-
sored by Meijer, will open this
weekend and continue through
Nov. 6. Groups of 15 or more can
arrangeweekday visits, Peters said.
The added fun this year is the
chance to win the $100 Meijer gift
card for finding the nine wooden
animals hidden throughout the
maze and complete the puzzling
walk, she added.
“We are unique because we
offer a hayride to and from the
maze,” Peters said.
This Saturday, there will also be
canning demonstration, recipes for
spaghetti squash, wool spinning
lessons, along with the Kid Tractor
during Harvest Days at the farm.
There are also fresh vegetables for
sale, grown right on the farm and
the Welcome Center has Maybury
Farm honey gathered from hives
on the farm, maple syrup, along
withbread, muffin and cakemixes.
The cornmaze is open from 1-10
p.m. Saturdays and from 1-7 p.m.
Sundays. The last wagon leaves for
themaze onehour prior to close.
Admission is $8 per person,
although there are discount
coupons available at Northville
Meijer Service Center, Tom Holzer
Ford in Farmington, PNC Banks in
Livonia, Plymouth, Canton and
Novi and, by request, at the
MayburyFarmWelcomeCenter.
Parking is free and admission to
the maze includes visiting the farm
animals during daylight hours, use
of the playground and picnic area.
Those 2 and younger are admitted
at no cost.
Proceeds from themaze support
the farm and help feed the animals
throughout the long winter months
and tickets are a donation and are
tax-deductible, Peters said. “A visit
to Maybury Farm would not be
complete without seeing all our
animals.”
Maybury Farm is located at

State Park entrance on the south
side of EightMile).
