Adult tutors needed
The Romulus Public Library is starting
an Adult Literacy Program and needs vol-
unteer tutors.
Forty two million adults cannot apply
for jobs, read to their children, get a dri-

library sources said. Anyone interested in
becoming a volunteer tutor, teaching basic
reading skills, can call or email Danielle
Hansard, adult services librarian at (734)
955-4518 or dhansard@tln.lib.mi.us. Tutor
training will begin this month so volun-
teers are urged to contact Hansard as soon
as possible.
Those who may need help in learning
to read can also contact Hansard for
details about the program.
