Senator sets hours
State Senate Democratic Floor
Leader Tupac A. Hunter (D-
Detroit) announced his Talk Time
with Tupac schedule for themonth
of July. He will be available to dis-
cuss the issues he is currently
working on in Lansing with local
residents in Inkster from noon
until 1 p.m. at Friday, Aug. 10 at
McDonald's, 27125 Cherry Hill
Road.
Area residents are invited to
attend. Hunter requests that inter-

Community Art Showplanned
The Belleville Area Council for
the Arts is presenting the third
annual Community Art Show from
noon until 8 p.m. Aug. 10 and from
10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Aug. 11 at St.
Anthony's Catholic Church, 409
West Columbia inBelleville.
There is no admission charge
for the show and artists from any
medium and of any age are wel-
come to submit works. There is a
$10 entry fee and the top three
winners in all three age categories
(6-12 13-17 and 18 and older) will
receive prizes of $300, $200 and
$100 respectively. The work will be
judged professionally and artists
can sell the entries during the
exhibit. There will also be a view-
ers' choice award presented to one
of the artists.
A food court will also be avail-
able all day, both days of the event.

Longest Garage Sale coming to
Wayne
The longest garage sale in the
state will come to downtown
Wayne from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. Aug.
11.
The event will take place from
Second Street to Elizabeth and
table rentals are still available.
Table rentals are $25 until Aug.
5 and $30 fromAug. 6 through 10.
The event is sponsored by the
Wayne Chamber of Commerce and
participants are expected to bring
all their own set up need like
tables, chairs, hanging racks, boxes,
bags etc.

Chamber hosts golfers
The Greater Romulus Chamber
of Commerce will host the Annual
Golf Outing on Thursday, Aug. 16 at
Gateway Golf Course, located in
Romulus.
Registration is $120 per golfer.
After that date, the cost is $120 per
person.
The fee includes a continental
breakfast, lunch at the turn and a
banquet dinner with awards.

A golf outing is planned begin-
ning at 7:30 a.m. Aug. 12 at Fox
Hills Golf Club in Plymouth to ben-
efit for NAMI, the National
Alliance onMental Illness.
The event includes a scramble
on The Golden Fox course for $100
per player or a Par 3 shootout on
The StrategicFox for $85 a player.
The day also includes a brunch
which can be purchased separate-
ly for $25 per person, children ages
3-12 can eat for $10.
The events include special con-
tests and prizes including a 2-years
lease on a newcar.

Mom2MomSale planned
The first Moraine Mom 2 Mom
Sale will take place Saturday, Sept.
15, at the Northville school. There
will be book tables and more than
120 sellers are expected with gen-
tly used infant, child, and materni-
ty clothing, toys, games, videos,
books, and other mom-related
goods. Tables for gently-used items
can be rented for $20 and retail
mom-related vendors can rent a
table for $40.
All proceeds benefit the
Moraine PTA and help provide
extra support for students and
teachers.

The Northville Historical
Society will sponsor the annual
Victorian Festival Clothing Sale

p.m. Saturday, Sept. 8 at Mill Race
Historical Village, 215 Griswold
Ave., north of Main Street in down-

Victorian era clothing and
accessories for adults and children
will be available. Vendors have
new, gently used and vintage cloth-
ing for sale.
Admission to the sale is $2 for
adults. Cash sales are preferred as

Belleville High School Class of
1992 20-year reunion will take
place from 7-11 p.m. Saturday,
