'Chicken' tickets nowon sale
Tickets are now on sale for the Actors
Community Theater and City of Wayne
Recreation Department dinner theater pres-
entation of Chicken With a Side of Murder, a
comedymurdermystery.
Join an array of wacky characters as they
dine and watch the world's greatest detective
solve murders right in front of their eyes.
There's only one catch . . . anyone can be the
victim, and you're on your own in finishing
the evening alive! Can you solve the mystery
before the detective does, or will the killer
manage to escape the evening and kill again?
Doors at the Wayne Community Center
Banquet Hall will open at 6:30 p.m. Feb. 4
and the showwill begin at 7 p.m. Feb. 4.
Tickets are $35 per person an include the
buffet dinner, open bar and performance.

the Wayne Community Center or by calling

Christmas sale under way
The Belleville Area Museum will contin-
ue the Christmas clearance sale through Jan.
21. The museum gift shop will feature sav-
ings onholiday ornaments anddecorations.
Proceeds support the projects and pro-
grams of the Belleville Area Museum and
Historical Society.
Singing class registration under way
Registration for the Forever After
Productions singers classes which begin Jan.
18 and harmony singer classes, which begin
Jan. 14 are currently underway.

Senator sets local meeting
State Sen. Tupac A. Hunter will be at the
McDonald's, 27125 Cherry Hill Road in
Inkster fromnoon until 1 p.m. tomorrow, Jan.
13, tomeet with local constituents.
Hunter will be available to discuss the
issues he is currently working on in Lansing.
The senator suggests that anyone planning to

to confirm their attendance, by voicemail if
necessary.
Pollination is topic
The Pollinator Pyramid will be he topic of
the 7 p.m. Jan. 18 meeting of members of the
SoutheastMichiganButterflyAssociation.
The topic will include information about
how butterfly host and nectar plants are pol-
linated to assure an abundant crop that will
attract butterflies.
The meeting will take place at Nankin
Mills Nature Center, 33175 Ann Arbor Trail,
Westland, MI 48186. Parking is available on

FreeCPR class offered
The Romulus Fire Department and
Health Link Emergency Medical Transport
will offer a basic CPR Class FREE to
Romulus residents onSaturday, Jan. 21.
Space is limited so advance registration is
required. To register or for additional infor-
mation, contact the Romulus Fire
Department Administrative Headquarters at

Romulus fire officials said that those
uncertain about whether they want to learn
CPRshould consider that effective bystander
CPRprovided immediately after sudden car-
diac arrest can double or triple a victim's
chance of survival.
Chamber reservations due
The annual State of the Chamber break-
fast will take place from 7:30 until 9 a.m.
Wednesday, Jan. 25 at The Inn at St. John's.
Last year the breakfast attracted 135
members, a spokesman noted, making it one
of the best networking opportunities of the
year. The cost is just $5 and includes a plated
breakfast.
Reservations must be made by Friday,
Jan. 20. Cancellations must be received 48
hours prior to the event, since the chamber is
liable for all meals. The Inn at St. John's is
located at 44045 Sheldon Road at the corner
of Sheldon andFiveMileRoads.

Library sets Storytime hours
Registration for Winter Storytimes at the
Belleville Area District Library are now
underway.
Sessions designed with age specific activi-
ties are planned at various times and days of
theweek.
Story times will continue from Jan. 18
through Feb. 22, although the library will be
closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day on Jan.
16.

Naturewalk planned
A naturalist from the Nankin Mills
Interpretive Center in Westland will guide a
walk through the winter woods beginning at
10 a.m. Jan. 21.
The 2-hour walk will start at the
Interpretive Center with hot cocoa and cof-
fee and then participants will hike to the
Holliday Nature Preserve. Visitors should
dress for the weather and be aware that the
trail canbe slippery.
The fee for Wayne County residents is $4,
and $5 for out of county residents. Pre-regis-
tration is available at the park office, 33175

John Tartaglia's ImaginOcean, a family
musical adventure, created and written by
Tony Award nominated actor John
Tartaglia, takes center stage at The Village
Theater at CherryHill for performances at
10 a.m. and 7 p.m. Jan. 20.
The show follows the undersea adven-
tures of a group of fish friends, who discov-
er a treasure map that leads them to learn
about themselves and ultimately uncover
the treasure of each other's friendship.
Produced by Jellyfish Jive Productions,
John Tartaglia, along with Philip Katz of
Broadway Theatrical, and musical theatre
veteran Michael Shawn Lewis, have
teamed up to bring this innovative black
lightmusical puppet show to the stage.
John Tartaglia's ImaginOcean takes
audiences on a one-hour magical under-
water journey full of surprises and special
effects. The seafaring stars Dorsel, Tank
and Bubbles open an enchanted world of
aquatic adventures where they meet jiving
jellyfish, a strong-willed seahorse and a
new friend, lovableLeonard theOctopus.
Tartaglia was a Tony Award nominee
for his performance in the Tony Award-
winning Broadway musical, Avenue Q, for
which he originated the roles of Princeton
and Rod. He was most recently seen on
Broadway appearing as Pinocchio in
Shrek The Musical and previously starred
as Lumiere in Disney's Beauty and the
Beast. A 10-year veteran of Sesame Street,
Tartaglia is one of the youngest puppeteers
ever to performon the show, starting at the
age of 16.
All tickets for the 10 a.m. show are $8.
