laugh.
It has worked out well, for the couple, who have been
traveling to various art fairs for a decade as their work
increases in popularity. Amazing & Beautiful Butterflies is
one of only a few businesses licensed to sell butterfly, moth
and insect specimens from places like Malaysia, Indonesia,
Costa Rica, Peru and Madagascar. The specimens used in
their art are from only the most accepted farming methods,
Hilton said.
Their displays are designed to show off the beauty and
diversity of insects and encourage people to realize how
important it is to preserve natural areas and the beautiful
creatures within them, Hilton said. She stressed that they
do not use any endangered species in their work and that
all of themare legally imported into theUnitedStates.
The couple now travels to art festivals and shows all year,
Hilton said, and just got back from a show in Trenton.
Following Art In The Park, they will be at the Milford
Memories show.
“We do keep the butterflies and the other insects sepa-
rate in the booth,” Hilton said, “but we still get a lot of ‘Holy
Cow’ whenpeople see the displays.”
